The Class A CDL training course is offered at New Sound Trucking School in Fife, WA. This training program is designed for those who have no prior experience or training as a truck driver or has been out of the trucking industry for several years. The Class A CDL training program prepares students for truck driving careers in both over-the-road (OTR) and local driving jobs. The certificate of completion from a CDL Program qualifies a graduate as an entry-level CDL driver. At New Sound Trucking School, students train to become safety-conscious drivers in the trucking industry. Utilizing a balance of classroom instruction and hands-on, behind-the-wheel training, students will be prepared to pass both the written CDL exams and skills test.
Behind-the-wheel training is taught on late-model, industry-standard equipment. Students are taught the skills necessary to safely operate a Volvo conventional tractor equipped with a manual or automatic transmission and a full-sized trailer.
This course prepares students for entry-level employment in the transportation industry.
